We have made it home to my parents house in Anchorage! Here are a few photos from our last day of driving. The key to seeing beautiful scenery in amazing light and lots of bears (this brown bear made 14 total for the trip) is to drive late at night. This bear was really close to the car. He didn't seem concerned about us being there at all. He was just eating away.
We crossed the border at midnight, getting to driving in daylight throughout the night as we watched the sun set, a full moon, and the sun rise without a big change in light. It is really remarkable. So good to be back in my homeland!Labels: Alaska, animals
