Hearts Knit Together #4: Mustache Mugs and Face Plates

This craft time with my children was a little more stressful than others because the only time we had to work on my husband and his father's gifts for Father's Day was Friday night when everyone was tired. Plus I had a few hang ups with the Michaels craft store. We went there in search of Pebeo Porcelain 150 pens and paint. There selection was very disappointing so we left and went to Hobby Lobby, who had nothing like that. So back to Michaels we went. We purchased colors that we thought would work.  We had to wait until my husband left for the night to volunteer at our church youth camp before working so about 7:00 we sat down to decorate. The pens didn't work. The paint was sooo thick. Back to Michaels we went :(.  About 9 we sat down again with new pens and paint thinner, thus why kids were tired and mom was stressed! But the fathers liked them.

Here is the tutorial for Mustache Mugs

I think the mugs turned out the cutest. I made the black one for my father-in-law.

Maeve is smiling but she actually was not being super cooperative so you cannot see her picture of Grandpa she made on the plate.

I think Jude's picture of his father is super cute. Kind of looks like something out of Rugrats.
