I am joining "I'm blessed" over at He Sows, She Sews for the first time this Monday. I think it is a fabulous blog carnival idea. And one I really need because I know that joy comes from counting our blessings. I need more joy in my life.
Several things this weekend I am grateful for.
- I live in Kansas and I did not get hit by a tornado during the storms this weekend. I am praying for those who were not as lucky.
- My children cleaned their rooms on Saturday and I was able to reward them with each picking out a flower at the local nursery to plant together in pots on our porch. It was a fun experience.
- My children played legos all Sunday afternoon after church together without ANY fighting so I was able to take a glorious nap.
- My oldest daughter, Adelle (named before the singer became famous :), taught my younger taught, Maeve, about counting money today, all on their own, and in a patient, caring way.
Do you think this magic can last if I head to my sewing machine? Or will that bring out the crazy in my children? :)
