Knit and Crochet Blog Week Day 3
Topic of the Day: Knitting Hero
Did I ever tell you you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be.
Beaches is one of my favorite movies so I just had to throw that line in there. But you are one of my knitting heroes.
Remember when you tried to teach me how to knit? I wasn't a very good student. I went back to crochet and ended up crocheting that hideous, cheap orange yarn I bought into an uneven scarf and it turned my skin orange. I have better taste in yarn now. And it took two people trying to teach me and finally a book for me to learn to knit.
Anyway here is why you are my hero:
You inspire me to frog back my work and make it perfect, to take on new patterns and skills with confidence, and to manage my time better. Thank you.
- You have three children and a husband who is off designing all the time and yet you find so much time to create beautiful items for those you love.
- And everything you make is so dang perfect. I admit I am envious of your skill but REALLY appreciate the handmade gifts you send.
- There doesn't seem to be any knitting or crochet technique or project that you shy away from. You are confident that you can master any knitting challenge.
P.S. I know you are creating amazing things right now. Do you ever think about updating your blog with pictures of them? :)
And for you visiting from WIP Wednesday, Yarn Along, and Keep Calm Craft On--- it wouldn't be Wednesday if I didn't post a work in progress. Sadly not much personal reading has been going on here with blog week keeping me busy. But I read this great book to the girls tonight. I love Robert McCloskey. And I am plugging away on another charity pull over. Two is probably all that I will finish before Mother's Day.
